Repeat prescriptions are computerised, please keep your tear off request slip from your latest prescription for reference.  48hrs notice must be given for all repeat prescriptions (except in an emergency). 

Designated Prescription Line (01792 643611)

We only accept telephone on the above number,  requests for prescriptions from 11am until 12.30pm and Afternoons 2pm until 3.30pm. We also accept prescriptions by post, website, in person at the surgery. 

Prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 hours later.

We now offer My Health Online prescription ordering, please call into the surgery and fill out the relevant forms to join. 

Repeat Prescriptions (Hafod Surgery)

There is no designated telephone line in our branch surgery.  Repeat prescriptions can be ordered during surgery opening times on the normal telephone number 01792 655435 or by post, website and in person.  


The surgery does not supply Benzodiazepines on either repeat medication or on a long term basis, any patient joining the practice; will be put on a reducing regime until stopped all together.

Clinical guidelines below;

  • Benzodiazepines are indicated for the short-term relief (two to four weeks only) of anxiety that is severe, disabling, or causing the patient unacceptable distress, occurring alone or in association with insomnia or short-term psychosomatic, organic, or psychotic illness.

  • The use of benzodiazepines to treat short-term ‘mild’ anxiety is inappropriate.

  • Benzodiazepines should be used to treat insomnia only when it is severe, disabling, or causing the patient extreme distress.

I.e. Diazepam; Clonazepam; Lorazepam; Nitrazepam; Temazepam and Midazolam.
