Update on Information Regards NHS Wales App by Wales IT service desk

With regards to no photo ID:
NHS login is a service provided by NHS England, which the NHS Wales App uses to prove your identity. If Patients live in Wales and need to create an NHS login, Patients will need a valid form of photo ID.
We have now developed and tested the Welsh Identity Verification Service (WIVS). With this service Patients will be able to verify their identity through their GP practice.
We are working with colleagues in Welsh Government and GPC Wales to finalise and confirm the deployment of this feature.
If patients at your practice would like to register to be notified when this service is live, they can do so at: https://nhswales.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dgofBGpxd6IwKAC
In the meantime appointments and/or prescriptions will have to be made direct to the GP site using our generic email address: enquiries.w98024@wales.nhs.uk

With regards to carer access:
We understand the importance of managing services on behalf of someone else and are currently developing better access and functionality for parents and carers.
We have now developed Authorised Access (Linked Profiles) and are currently testing this feature.
If patients would like to register to be notified when this service is live, they can do so at: https://nhswales.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dgofBGpxd6IwKAC .
