All the doctors cover both our surgeries and have different days off each week. Please check with reception staff regarding any particular doctor availability. We will always try to give you an appointment with your doctor of choice. This may not always be possible during holiday periods.
Please telephone from 8am onwards or call into your respective surgeries.
All appointments can be made up to 6 weeks in advance. We also offer 4 advance access appointments for each individual doctor on duty every day, morning and afternoon appointments, these can be made up to 6 weeks in advance. (subject to availability). These can be booked via MHOL, please complete downloaded registration form on website.
All emergencies will be seen on the same day. There is NO choice of doctor for emergency appointments.
If you have an appointment and you are unable to keep it, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can re-use the appointment time for another patient.
These are booked in exactly the same way as the appointments for doctors.
If a patient fails to attend a pre-booked appointment on more than one occasions in the last 12 months, an informal warning letter will be sent to the patient, advising them that a further occurrence could risk removal from the practice.
If the patient fails to attend another appointment, the matter will be discussed at a practice meeting and a majority agreement will be reached as to whether the patient will be removed from the practice list. In which case a formal warning will be issued. Warning letters are valid for a period of 12 months. Removal based on warnings greater than 12 months will be invalid-in this case a further warning and period of grace will be required.
If possible please try to telephone reception between 8am and 11am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
